Happy Birthday to our sweet Joel!

How you are 1 already is beyond me!!!
We made your cake and cupcakes today (for your party tom.) we also set up the kitchen, did the decorating already and bought you 2 mylar balloons. Your party is at noon tomorrow and there will be about 23 people here. We are looking forward to seeing you with everyone, eating your chocolate construction cake and opening your presents. How exciting!
We are having 2 big veggie lasagnas, a baked ham and crackers and cheese. I also made dump truck and tractor candies with yellow chocolate for the bodies of the vehicles and milk chocolate for the tires. I will take pics and post them here.
Josh and I enjoyed decorating his cake and it came out really cute!

The 3 of us went out to Applebees tonight. Joel loved gnawing on a lime while standing in the booth with me after we were all trough with dinner. He was saying hi to the people around us and trying to talk to the little baby near us that was fussing...he's so cute!

In a year...
We found out you were born while sitting in a very busy and loud Panera. We had just left from visiting my Grammy in the rehab (the last time Josh and I ever saw her) and I decided to check my phone and found out you were here already.
We first met you on the 28th around 12:30pm (NV time)...it was love at first sight!
You were such a good little newborn, you were strong and your heart heeled so quickly, you ate well, you slept well and you grew and grew.
We got home and you continued to grow, you learned to smile and laugh, roll over and sit by yourself (4 mos), crawl (7 mos), pull to stand (7 mos), cruise, stand alone and take steps and all the while growing bigger and bigger.
You are now on all sippy cups (since 9 mos) and whole milk. You like water, love fruit and basically just like to eat, LOL!
Your smile and laughter light up our world. We can't imagine you not with us, we know God had you planned for us.
You have been a wonderful baby and we look forward to seeing you grow to be an amazing little boy.
Have lots of fun at your 1st birthday party little man...we all love you so much! xoxoxo
