Merry Christmas...Joel's 1st Christmas!

What a fun filled day today was!
First off we celebrated Christmas Eve at C & F's house. This morning we woke up around 6:30am to open our presents from "Santa"...ok, Josh and I awoke first...we were even excited, LOL, then we got Joel up.
Santa brought Joel lots of goodies, a stocking full of things like, mini see and say, toothbrush, teething tabs, bath color tabs, stainless kleen kanteen, fisher price little people, matchbox boo boo pack, fisher price double pack cd, book, and a few other little things.
For big presents he got a basketball hoop, a step 2 lifestyle custom kitchen and a radio flyer walker wagon(got an awesome deal on this)...and is showing to be one of his favorites. He also got a lawnmower, vtech paino toy, leapfrog vehicle magnet set, leapfrog my pal scout, playskool busy gears, some books, handy manny dvd, gymboree rain boots, carhartt jacket(for next fall), some pj's, a curious george jack in the box, a stuffed monkey...I think that may be it :o) He was so happy with all his presents, not overwhelmed or anything, just happy and patiently ok not overly patiently, LOL waited for us to take some of the toys out of the box for him. After all was opened, Josh got an MP3 from me, a work vest and a book of Joel from 2 months to 11 months. I got some bath and body works stuff and a star pendant necklace with Joel's birthstones in it.
Then we gave Joel a bowl of Kix and some milk to drink, got him dressed, we got dressed and we headed to the lake to swap presents there. Joel got a fisher price bounce and spin zebra, a couple shirts from Old Navy and a chicco castle with balls from Aunt C and Uncle F. G & G gave him some disney dvds, a stocking full of mustela bath products, a golden retriever cuddle blanket, some goldfish crackers, forks and books in his stocking, chuck the talking dump truck, a john deere bank, socks and a crib activity toy. He is one lucky little guy. Oh ya, on Christmas Eve Linda gave him 2 books, Liz's family gave him 2 books and "Uncle" Jeff gave him a fisher price little people ambulance.
All this and his 1st birthday is on Sunday...wow!
Oh one more thing, G & G gave him a Cloud B twilight turtle that we put on for him tonight and he seems to enjoy the stars on the ceiling.
Thank you Lord for a wonderful Christmas! It was such a wonderful feeling setting up Joel's presents last night with Josh, we were both so happy and excited and when we put Joel down to crawl out of his room this am he stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw the wagon...the wonder and happiness in his eyes put joy in our hearts.
He is by far the best Christmas gift EVER!!
